Footwork International Dance Organization
Founded in 2004, the Footwork International Dance Organization has been a pioneer in promoting dancesport and social dance in Sri Lanka. The organization offers a range of competitions, workshops, and events designed for dancers of all levels. As the official Sri Lankan representative for the World Dance Council and the Asia Dance Council, Footwork is dedicated to promoting dance education and recognition on the global stage.
Dharshan Wijesooriya, the driving force behind Footwork, has been leading the organization since its inception. As the primary force behind the Footwork Dance Championships, Dharshan holds a World Dance Council adjudicating license and has adjudicated over 150 international dance competitions in 19 countries, including the World Open Championships in Japan and China.
